About Orphanage Support Services Organization

Orphanage Support Services Organization (OSSO) is a Utah-based nonprofit charitable organization founded by Rex Head, MD in 1999. We currently support eight orphanages in Ecuador year-round with volunteers and monetary donations.

Since our founding over 20 years ago, we have helped support 30 different orphanages. We have sent over 5,000 volunteers internationally to give nearly 1.5 million hours of face-to-face service in orphanages and millions of dollars in financial support. Most of our support has been to orphanages in Ecuador and Thailand, but we have also supported orphanages in China, Uganda, Vietnam, Peru, and Mexico.

Our mission is to support orphaned and vulnerable children worldwide by providing for their physical, educational, nutritional, medical, and emotional needs.

When you volunteer with OSSO or become a donor, you change a life—often a child's but always your own.

Our Values & Beliefs

1. Every child deserves to grow up in a loving and safe environment. We believe that when children are properly cared for and know that they are loved, they will grow into successful adults who then go on to change the world. 
2. We partner with orphanages worldwide who uphold a high standard of child care.
3. We pay special attention to orphans with severe disabilities and provide them with a permanent home. 
4. Children need to both receive love and have someone to give love to in return in order to properly develop.
