Davinci Gives Back: October Charity – No Hunger Zone
The Davis Education Foundation, along with partnerships with the Bountiful Food Pantry and the Davis Hospital and Medical Center, has focused on making Davis County a "No Hunger Zone." Did you know that almost 17,000 students in our district do not know from where their next meal will come? Such food insecurity adversely impacts our students not only educationally, but also emotionally.
To assist these students and their families, the Foundation has set a goal to raise $100,000 to combat food insecurity. For every dollar raised by the Foundation, Davis Hospital and Medical Center and the Bountiful Food Pantry will match, dollar for dollar, up to $100,000. Your dollar will create two dollars to fight hunger.
For the month of October, Davinci made a financial contribution to the No Hunger Zone. We are proud to support an organization working to feed children!
A letter from No Hunger Zone
Dear Davinci,
Thank you for joining us in the fight against child hunger!
We received your donation to our food assistance program and can’t thank you and your company enough. Generous donations, from individuals and corporations such as yours, make it possible for us to provide meals to children who would otherwise go hungry. With nearly 17,000 students in our district who aren’t sure where their next meal is coming from, each and every dollar counts.
In partnership with the Bountiful Food Pantry, more than 2,300 pantry packs are currently being distributed to at-risk students each week. Your donation also assists in stocking principal food pantries and providing emergency food boxes to families in need.
Your kindness goes much further than filling a child’s empty stomach; it also removes barriers to learning and positively impacts their emotional well-being. We are beyond grateful for your generosity. Because of you, we can continue in our efforts to make Davis School District a “No Hunger Zone.”
Again, thank you.
